Mountainbike

On the saddle of your bike you will find some of the true sensations that nature has to offer; mountain biking is not an extreme or athletic sports, so why not try something new and exciting? The local authorities of Cervinia and Valtournenche, have invested heart and soul and strongly believe in the succes of this sporting activity. 

Cyclists can enjoy the numerous trails, both cross-country and downhill, especially created for the mountain bike enthusiasts! Excercise in the silence of nature where the only noise is that of your wheels over the terrain and the occasional bells of the cows!  The Aosta Valley area is the ideal area with a wide choice of natural trails, glacial rivers and the wide pastures. There are long trails for daytrips or you can choose for an organized tour of various days with an expereinced instructor. A real hype nowadays are the slow bike trails, they are physically not that exhausting and you have the benefit of a sensational similar experience! 

Much appreciated and ever-increasing in the area of Breuil-Cervinia and Valtournenche are the "family trails" for those trying the discipline for the first time or for families with children. The area is also famous for it's "Bike Park" which was realised in 2010 and where the race Maxiavalanche is organized each year. This is a wellknown competition with over 400 participants from all over the world during which they have to conquer a 12km trail from Plateau Rosa via plan Maison towards Breuil-Cervinia. The Bike Park has suitable downhill trails for every level and they are all clearly numbered along the grade of difficulty to avoid surprises. The bikeshops in the area are well equipped with all the specialized material you need for this adventure!
